Chill glass (optional)
Place a rocks glass or coupe in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill.

Add ingredients to shaker
Measure 2 oz Absolut Vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup with a jigger and pour them into a cocktail shaker.

Add ice and shake
Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker. Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and properly diluted.

Strain and top (two serving options)
Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled rocks glass over fresh ice for a short drink, or strain into the glass without ice for a coupe. If making a longer version, pour the shaken cocktail into a glass over ice and top with ~2 oz club soda; gently stir once with a bar spoon to combine.

Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
