Method

Prepare the Patty

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

2

Form Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, roughly ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties

3

Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

5

Slice the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into even slices.

6

Prepare Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.

Assemble the Burger

7

Toast the Buns (Optional)

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

8

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, spread the special sauce, add the lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, and top with tomato slices. Place the top half of the bun to complete the burger.
