Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Mussels

Rinse the mussels under cold running water, scrubbing the shells to remove any dirt or debris. Remove the beards if necessary and discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

2

Sauté Aromatics

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

3

Add Mussels and Wine

Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, followed by the white wine. Stir gently to combine, then cover the pot with a lid.

4

Steam the Mussels

Increase the heat to medium-high and steam the mussels for about 5-7 minutes, or until they open up. Discard any mussels that remain closed.

5

Garnish and Serve

Once the mussels are cooked, remove them from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Serve immediately with crusty bread or over pasta.
