Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Battering Mix

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the beer or sparkling water until the batter is smooth and thick.

2

Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

3

Batter and Fry the Fish

Dip each fillet of haddock and cod into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered fish in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

4

Cook the Fries

While the fish is frying, prepare the frozen fries according to package instructions, either in the oven or deep fryer, until crispy and golden.

5

Prepare the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with the coleslaw dressing. Toss until evenly coated.

6

Serve

Serve the battered fish alongside the fries and coleslaw. Enjoy your 'Taste of Two'!
