Preparation

1

Infuse Tequila

Begin by infusing the tequila with butterfly peaflower. Combine 1 cup of tequila with 2 tablespoons of dried butterfly peaflowers in a jar. Seal tightly and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 24-48 hours, shaking gently every 12 hours. Strain the infusion through a fine mesh sieve before using.

2

Prepare Ube Mixture

In a small bowl, mix the ube paste with the fresh lime juice until fully combined. This will create a colorful and flavorful base for the cocktail.

Mixing the Cocktail

3

Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the butterfly peaflower infused tequila, kumquat liqueur, ube mixture, and ice. Shake well for about 15-20 seconds until chilled.

4

Prepare Glass

Take a chilled cocktail glass and rim it with lava salt. To do this, moisten the rim with a lime wedge and dip it into a plate of lava salt.

5

Strain and Serve

Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass. Optionally, you can layer the ube mixture by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon to create a visual effect.

6

Garnish

Garnish the cocktail with kumquat slices on the rim or floating on top for an added touch of flavor and decoration.
