Directions
Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck with salt and black pepper. Mix well until combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a thick patty.
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice sear forms. Flip and place a slice of Weyauwega Star cheddar on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Prepare the Vegetables
While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato and red onion into thin rings.
Serve
Serve the Big Gritt burgers warm alongside a glass of Guinness Stout for the perfect pairing.
