OLD FASHIONED

A clean intense aroma and a dry flavour with pleasant golden apple aftertaste.

Place a sealed bottle of Beringer White Zinfandel in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving so it is well chilled (about 45–55°F / 7–13°C). If you need it faster, set the bottle in an ice bucket with equal parts ice and cold water for 20–30 minutes.

Chill wine

Remove the chilled bottle from the fridge or ice bucket. Wipe any condensation from the bottle and cut the foil capsule cleanly below the lip if needed.

Check and dry

Use a corkscrew or wine opener to remove the cork gently. Wipe the bottle neck with a clean cloth to remove any cork fragments or residue.

Open bottle

Select a white wine glass or medium-sized stemmed glass. Rinse briefly with cold water and discard to keep the glass cool, then dry the rim with a napkin.

Glassware

Pour the wine into the glass to about one-third full (approximately 5–6 oz / 150–180 ml) to allow room to swirl and release the aromas.

If you prefer a slightly colder, refreshingly casual serve, add 2–4 ice cubes to the glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim or a thin green apple slice floated in the glass to accentuate the pleasant golden apple aftertaste. Do not over-chill — too much ice will mute the wine's aroma and flavor.

Before sipping, swirl gently and inhale to appreciate the clean, intense aroma. Take a small sip to assess dryness and the golden apple note, then enjoy in small sips.

Smell and taste

Recork the bottle using the original cork or a wine stopper and store upright in the refrigerator. Consume within 3–5 days for best flavor; slightly flat or muted aroma indicates diminished quality.
