Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Noodles

Boil a pot of water and cook the yakisoba noodles according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Protein

If using chicken, slice the chicken breast into thin strips. If using beef, slice the sirloin into thin strips. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

Shred the cabbage, julienne the carrot, slice the bell pepper, and chop the green onions. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Stir-Fry the Protein

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil. When hot, add the chicken or beef and stir-fry until cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 5

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Add the cabbage, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  3. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked yakisoba noodles and the stir-fried protein back to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Transfer the yakisoba to serving plates, sprinkle with sesame seeds and nori flakes, and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
