Seared Tuna

Prepare the Tuna
Pat the tuna steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Marinate
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce and sesame oil. Place the tuna steak in the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Sear the Tuna
Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the marinated tuna steak and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time based on desired doneness.

Slice the Tuna
Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice it thinly against the grain.

Finish with Black Sesame Seeds
Sprinkle black sesame seeds over the sliced tuna.
Cucumber Salad

Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Pour the dressing over the sliced cucumber and toss to coat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Seaweed Salad

Rehydrate the Seaweed
Soak the dried seaweed in warm water for about 10 minutes until it expands. Drain and squeeze out excess water.

Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and chili oil.

Combine
Add the rehydrated seaweed to the dressing and toss to coat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Plate the Salad
In a large bowl or plate, arrange the sliced tuna, cucumber salad, and seaweed salad. Garnish with sliced green onions and radishes.
