Salmon

Teriyaki Sauce (optional)

Miso Soup

Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, and black pepper. If using teriyaki sauce, add it to the marinade. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.

Grilling the Salmon

  1. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for another 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Preparing the Miso Soup

  1. 4

    Boil Water

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 5

    Add Miso and Tofu

Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low, then whisk in the miso paste until dissolved. Add the diced tofu and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Green Onions and Seaweed

Just before serving, add the chopped green onions and wakame seaweed to the soup. Stir well and remove from heat.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate and Serve

Serve the grilled salmon hot alongside a bowl of miso soup. Enjoy your meal!
