Method
Beef Teriyaki
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
- 2
Marinate the Beef
Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add to the marinade. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Cook the Beef
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until it's cooked through. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Sesame Chicken
- 4
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, beat the egg and dip the chicken pieces into the egg, then coat in cornstarch.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- 6
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well.
- 7
Combine Everything
In the same skillet, add the fried chicken and pour the sauce over it. Toss to coat the chicken evenly and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Salad
- 8
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, sliced cucumber, and halved cherry tomatoes.
- 9
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- 10
Toss the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
Rice
- 11
Rinse the Rice
Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- 12
Cook the Rice
In a pot, combine rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed.
Miso Soup
- 13
Prepare the Broth
In a pot, bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low and whisk in the miso paste until dissolved.
- 14
Add Tofu and Onions
Add cubed tofu to the broth and let it heat through. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
