Base Juice (choose one)

Method

If serving Orange Juice

1

Juice the oranges

Roll the oranges on the counter to loosen juice. Cut in half and use a manual or electric juicer to extract juice until you have about 1 cup (approx. 3 medium oranges). Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a mixing pitcher if you prefer pulp-free juice.

2

Adjust sweetness (optional)

Taste the orange juice. If you prefer it sweeter, stir in up to 1 teaspoon simple syrup until dissolved.

3

Serve

Fill a serving glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup). Pour the orange juice over the ice. Garnish with a lemon or lime wedge and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

If serving Blackcurrant Juice

4

Prepare blackcurrant drink

Measure 1/4 cup blackcurrant cordial into a pitcher. Add 3/4 cup cold water and stir vigorously until the cordial is fully diluted and uniform in color. Taste and, if too concentrated, add small increments of water; if too tart, stir in up to 1 teaspoon simple syrup.

5

Chill and serve

Fill a serving glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup). Pour the diluted blackcurrant juice over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves and a lemon or lime wedge if desired. Serve immediately.
