Chill the bottle: place the bottle of Cette Nuit Sauvignon Blanc in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. If you need it sooner, submerge the bottle in an ice bucket or cooler filled with equal parts ice and water for 20–30 minutes.

Prepare glassware: select a clean white-wine glass (tulip-shaped or standard white). Rinse briefly with cold water and shake out excess to help keep the wine cool longer.

Optional chilling with ice: if you prefer a very cold glass, add 3–4 ice cubes to the glass just before pouring. Note this will dilute the wine slightly; remove cubes after 1–2 minutes if you want less dilution.

Open the bottle: using a waiter’s corkscrew or wine opener, cut foil below the lip, remove foil, insert corkscrew and extract cork smoothly. Wipe the neck with a clean cloth if needed.

Bring the goat cheese to cool room temperature (10–15 minutes out of fridge) so it is soft and spreadable. Spread about 1 tsp of goat cheese on each cracker or baguette slice.

Top with a thin slice of green apple and a half walnut on each cracker.

Drizzle a light amount of honey (about 1/4 tsp) over selected bites to complement the wine’s grapefruit and apple notes without overpowering them.
