Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours) to let flavors meld. Do not steep for too long to avoid excessive tannin extraction from the fruit peel or seeds.

Chill briefly

Fill wine glasses or tumblers halfway with ice cubes. Strain the sangria lightly as you pour to keep large seeds out, or spoon fruit into each glass if you want the fruit included. Top each glass with a splash (about 1–2 tablespoons) of club soda or sparkling water if desired for lift. Garnish with reserved orange rounds and fresh mint leaves.
