Soft drink

Glassware & garnish

Method

Prepare glass

1

Chill glass (optional)

If desired, place the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before serving to keep the drink colder longer. This step is optional but recommended on warm days.

2

Fill the glass with 4 ice cubes. Use fewer or more cubes to personal preference; more ice chills faster but will dilute carbonation slightly as it melts.

Pour and finish

3

Hold the chilled bottle or can of Coca-Cola Classic at an angle and gently pour 12 fl oz (approximately one standard serving) into the glass over the ice. Pour down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and reduce foaming.

4

If using, run the lemon or lime wedge around the rim and drop it into the glass or set it on the rim as garnish.

5

Insert a straw if desired and serve immediately while fizzy and cold.
