Fried Chik'n Ingredients

Method

Fried Chik'n Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the king oyster mushrooms and slice them into thick strips resembling chicken tenders.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Dip the Mushrooms

In another bowl, pour the plant-based milk. Dip each mushroom strip first into the milk, then into the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chik'n

Carefully add the coated mushroom strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried chik'n from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
