Method
Preparation of House-Made Salsa
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, finely chopped onion, and chopped cilantro.
Add Seasoning
Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the tomato mixture. Stir well to combine.
Chill Salsa
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Assembling the Nacho Platter
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare Tortilla Chips
Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet.
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla chips.
Add Jalapeños
Distribute the sliced jalapeños over the cheese-covered chips.
Melt Cheese
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
Remove the nachos from the oven and serve immediately with the house-made salsa on the side.
