Churros

Method

Prepare the Churros

1

Make the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball. Let cool for a few minutes.

2

Add Eggs

Once the dough is cool, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.

3

Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat 4 cups of vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

4

Fry Churros

Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4-6 inch lengths of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.

Assemble the Sundae

6

Layer Ingredients

In a serving dish, place 2 churros in the center. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

7

Drizzle Sauces

Drizzle chocolate, raspberry, and caramel sauces over the ice cream and churros.

8

Add Toppings

Top with whipped cream and place a maraschino cherry on top.
