Method

Glass + Garnish

1

Chill and prepare glass

If Perrier bottle is not well chilled, place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or in an ice bucket for 20 minutes. Select a tall Collins or highball glass. If you prefer the coldest serving, pre-chill the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes.

2

Add ice

Place 3–6 ice cubes into the glass depending on desired chill level and glass size. Note: too much ice will speed dilution once you add any citrus; Perrier is often served with little or no ice to preserve carbonation.

3

Pour Perrier

Open the chilled Perrier bottle. Tilt the glass at about a 45° angle and gently pour the Perrier down the side to preserve carbonation and minimize foaming. Fill to about 3/4 to 1 inch from the rim.

4

Garnish and serve

If using, squeeze the lime wedge or press the lemon wheel over the glass once to release a few drops, then drop it in or rest on the rim. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
