Cocktail

Method

Prepare glass (optional)

1

Rim the glass

If desired, run a lime wedge or 1/2 tsp simple syrup around the rim of a chilled martini or coupe glass. Dip the rim into the crushed graham cracker to coat lightly. Set the glass aside in the refrigerator or freezer to chill while you make the cocktail.

Mix the martini

2

Add 4 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.

3

Measure and pour 2 oz Absolut Vanilla vodka into the shaker.

4

Add 0.75 oz fresh key lime juice (if you don't have key limes, use fresh Persian lime juice). Taste preference: use 1 oz for a brighter tartness.

5

Pour 1 oz heavy cream into the shaker. For a lighter texture you may substitute half-and-half (use same volume).

6

Add 0.5 oz Malibu coconut rum for a subtle coconut note.

7

Add 0.25 oz simple syrup (or 0.25 oz sweetened condensed milk for a richer, sweeter texture). Adjust amount to taste.

8

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well chilled and the cream is slightly aerated.

9

Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled, prepared martini/coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch ice shards and foam.

10

Garnish with a key lime wheel on the rim or floated on the surface.

11

Serve immediately.
