Method
Preparation
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare your drink.
Measure the Rye
Measure 2 ounces of Knob Creek Rye Whiskey using a jigger or measuring cup.
Add to Mixing Glass
Pour the measured whiskey into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to the top.
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Garnishing
Add Garnish
If desired, garnish your drink with an orange twist by expressing the oils over the drink and then placing it in the glass. You can also add a maraschino cherry for extra flair.
