Preparation

Glass preparation

1. Pour the lime juice into a shallow dish. In a second shallow dish, mix the Tajin and optional coarse sea salt. Run the lime wedge around the rim of a 16–20 oz pint glass or beer mug to moisten, then dip the rim into the Tajin mixture, twisting to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

Michelada mix

2. Combine mix

In a mixing glass or small pitcher, add the orange juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce (or Maggi), hot sauce (Chili Peppa Wata), and tomato juice or Clamato (if using). Stir well to combine.

3. Season and chill

Add freshly ground black pepper and taste. Adjust hot sauce, lime, or orange juice to balance heat, salt, and acidity. Add ice to the prepared pint glass (or serve over ice if preferred).

Assembly

4. Pour the prepared michelada mix into the rimmed glass over the ice, filling roughly 1/3 of the glass (about 4–6 oz of the mix). Slowly tilt the glass and gently pour the chilled light lager down the side to preserve carbonation until the glass is nearly full (about 12 oz of beer total). Stir gently once with a bar spoon or straw to integrate, taking care not to flatten the beer.

5. Garnish the drink with an orange wheel on the rim, a lime wedge, and a thin slice of fresh chili if using. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring straw.
