Prep
Chill
Place the non-alcoholic lager, sparkling water and serving glass in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour prior to serving so everything is thoroughly chilled.
If using a salt rim: run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip lightly into sea salt to coat. Set aside on a small plate.
Mixing
Fill the chilled glass halfway with crushed ice or a few ice cubes (about 1 cup).
Pour 4 cups of chilled non-alcoholic pale lager into a large measuring pitcher or directly into the glass if using a chilled pint glass, leaving space for sparkling water and lime.
Add 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and 1 teaspoon light corn syrup or agave nectar to the lager. The small amount of sweetener recreates the faint malt/corn sweetness of a classic Mexican lager while remaining balanced. Stir gently once to combine.
Top the mixture with 1 cup chilled sparkling water to restore a crisp effervescence that can be muted in some NA lagers. Stir gently once more to integrate without losing too much carbonation.
Finish & Garnish
Taste and adjust: if the drink tastes a bit flat, add another teaspoon of sparkling water; if it needs brighter acidity, squeeze an extra 1/2 tablespoon lime juice. If preferred less sweet, omit the added sweetener next time.
Garnish with 1–2 lime wheels or a wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw or without, and enjoy cold.
