Choose either Jackson-Triggs Pinot Grigio (for a light, crisp white) or Jackson-Triggs Cabernet Sauvignon (for a fuller-bodied red). Each serving is 6 fl oz.

Select Wine

For Pinot Grigio: ensure the bottle has been chilled to 45–50°F (7–10°C). If not chilled, place bottle in an ice bucket filled with ice and cold water for 10–15 minutes. For Cabernet Sauvignon: serve slightly below room temperature, around 60–65°F (15–18°C). If the red is too warm, place it in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Chill / Temperature

Select the appropriate glass: a narrower-bowled white wine glass for Pinot Grigio or a larger-bowled red wine glass for Cabernet Sauvignon. Inspect the glass for cleanliness and set one napkin beside it.

Prepare Glass

If bottle is sealed with a screwcap, remove cap and wipe the rim with a clean towel. If corked, use a corkscrew: cut and remove foil, insert screw into center of cork, and pull gently to extract. Wipe the bottle lip with a clean napkin to remove any sediment or cork particles.

Open Bottle

Hold the bottle by the base or neck, position the glass at a slight angle, and pour 6 fl oz (approximately 3/4 of a standard 8 oz wine pour; visually this is about 1/3 of a typical red glass and 1/2 of a white glass). Pour slowly to avoid splashing. If using a wine pourer, insert it before pouring to improve control. After pouring, twist the bottle slightly as you lift to avoid drips.

Pour Wine

Place the glass on the coaster or napkin. For Pinot Grigio, present the chilled bottle in an ice bucket nearby if serving more than one glass. For Cabernet Sauvignon, offer the bottle at the table. Advise the guest of tasting notes (Pinot Grigio: light, crisp, citrus and green apple; Cabernet: dark fruit, oak, firm tannins). Serve promptly so the wine is at recommended temperature. Single 6 oz serving yields approximately 120–160 calories depending on wine and residual sugar.
