Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add Tomatoes
Pour in the crushed tomatoes. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes.
Season the Sauce
Add the chopped basil, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Stir to combine and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked spaghetti to the marinara sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
Serve
Serve the marinara pasta hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
