Mineral Water (single serving)
For a pitcher (6 servings)
Method
Mineral Water (single serving)
Add ice
Place 3–4 ice cubes into the chilled glass. Adjust the number of cubes to preference; more ice keeps the drink colder but dilutes slightly as it melts.
Pour mineral water
Open a bottle or can of cold carbonated mineral water and pour gently into the glass over the ice until you reach approximately 12 fl oz. Pour slowly to retain carbonation and reduce foaming.
Serve
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Provide a straw or stirring stick if preferred.
Pitcher (6 servings)
Chill pitcher and water
Chill a 2–3 quart pitcher in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes. Keep the mineral water chilled in the bottle or cooler until ready to assemble.
Prepare ice and garnishes
Add about 3–4 ice cubes to each glass when serving, or fill the pitcher with 12–16 ice cubes if you prefer the pitcher to be cold. Slice 6 lemons into thin rounds if using, and pick fresh mint sprigs.
Assemble pitcher
Pour 72 fl oz (6 x 12 fl oz) of cold carbonated mineral water into the chilled pitcher. Add lemon slices and mint sprigs if desired. Pour gently to preserve carbonation.
