Preparation
1. Chill the Ingredients
Place the Guinness Nitro Stout can and the cold water in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
2. Prepare the Glass
Choose a pint glass or a similar vessel to serve your stout. Make sure it is clean and dry.
Serving
3. Pour the Stout
Open the can of Guinness Nitro Stout. Hold the glass at a 45-degree angle and pour the stout slowly. When the glass is half full, straighten the glass and pour straight down to create a nice head.
4. Add Cold Water (Optional)
If desired, you can gently add 4 oz of cold water to the stout to mellow the flavor. Pour it along the side of the glass to preserve the head.
5. Garnish (Optional)
If you wish to enhance the presentation, top with whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.
