Optional rim

If you want a salted or sugared rim, rub a cut orange wedge around the glass rim, then dip the rim into coarse salt or sugar. Set the glass aside.

Fill a rocks glass or short tumbler with fresh ice and set aside.

Mixing

Add Jameson Irish Whiskey, fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and orange liqueur into a cocktail shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice (enough to chill thoroughly), cap, and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

Strain the mixture over the prepared ice in your glass.

If desired, top gently with soda water (about 1 oz) for a lighter finish, then add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters over the top and stir once gently to integrate.

Garnish & Serve

Garnish with an orange wheel or an orange twist floated on the drink. Serve immediately.
