Sparkling Water Base

Optional Citrus & Garnish

Method

Prepare Glass & Ice

1

Chill glass

If desired, place the serving glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill. Otherwise, proceed with a clean, room-temperature glass.

2

Fill the chilled or clean serving glass with 1 cup of ice cubes, leaving some room at the top for the sparkling water and any garnish.

Assemble Beverage

3

Open a 12 fl oz bottle or can of San Pellegrino sparkling water (chilled) carefully to preserve carbonation.

4

Slowly pour the San Pellegrino over the ice into the glass to minimize excess foaming and preserve effervescence.

5

If using the optional citrus & garnish: add 2 lemon slices and a lime wedge to the glass. Clap the mint leaves gently between your palms to release aromatic oils and tuck them into the drink or use as a sprig for garnish.

Optional Sweet/Soda Variation

6

For a lightly sweetened or flavored version, stir in 1 tsp simple syrup (or honey syrup) and/or 1 tsp fruit cordial to the glass after pouring the San Pellegrino. Stir gently once with a bar spoon to incorporate without knocking out carbonation.

7

Taste and adjust: add another 1/2 tsp syrup or cordial if you prefer slightly sweeter or more fruit-forward flavor. Avoid vigorous stirring.

Finish & Serve

8

Give the drink a final gentle stir, position the garnish (lemon slice on rim, mint sprig upright), and serve immediately while bubbly.

9

Discard unused citrus or syrup portions; leftovers of syrup or cordial should be refrigerated according to their packaging.
