Build and shake
In a cocktail shaker, add gin, dry vermouth, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, ginger liqueur, and a handful of ice (about 4–6 large cubes). Seal and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well-chilled and slightly diluted.
Strain and top
Discard ice water from the glass if you used it, then fill the chilled glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the ice. Gently pour club soda down the side of the glass to top the drink (about 1.5 oz) and give it one slow stir with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the soda.
Garnish & Finish
Express oils of the lime wheel over the drink by holding the wheel skin-side down above the glass and giving it a brisk squeeze, then rub the rim with the wheel and drop it into the drink.
Slap the mint sprig once between your palms to release its aroma and place it on top of the drink as a fragrant garnish. Serve immediately.
