Method
Prep
Roll the mint leaves between your palms gently to release aroma; set aside 2 leaves for garnish.
Build the Drink
Add the simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and lemon juice to the glass. Stir gently to combine with the ice.
Pour in the pilsner or light lager (1 cup) slowly, then float the pale ale/IPA (1/2 cup) on top by pouring gently over the back of a spoon to preserve some hop aroma and slight layered appearance.
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters over the top of the beer to add depth and a subtle spice note.
Tuck the rolled mint leaves into the drink and give a gentle stir (1–2 turns) just to lift aromatics without flattening the carbonation.
Garnish & Serve
Express an orange twist over the glass (pinch to release oils) and drop it in or balance on the rim.
Garnish with the reserved mint leaves. Serve immediately with a straw or sip directly to appreciate the layered hop and citrus aromatics.
