Bang Cocktail

Method

Bang Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and setting aside while you mix the cocktail.

2

Build & shake

Discard the ice from the chilled glass. Add fresh ice to a cocktail shaker (about 3/4 full). Pour in 2 oz light rum, 1 oz vodka, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1.5 oz pineapple juice, 0.5 oz grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

3

Strain & top

Fill the chilled glass with fresh ice. Double-strain the cocktail into the glass to remove fine ice shards and any pulp. Top gently with 1 oz club soda if you prefer a lighter, effervescent finish.

4

Garnish & serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or pineapple wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer. Advise the drinker to gently stir once to integrate the soda if used.

5

Notes: Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing simple syrup by 0.25 oz increments. Use freshly squeezed juices for brightness; canned juices will mute the flavors. For a stronger citrus punch, replace the 0.5 oz grapefruit with 0.5 oz fresh orange juice.
