Cookie Monster Cocktail
Method
Cookie Monster Cocktail
- 1
Prepare glass (optional)
If you want a cookie-rimmed glass, pour the melted butter into a shallow dish and the crushed cookie crumbs into another shallow dish. Lightly brush the rim of a chilled old-fashioned or rocks glass with the melted butter, then dip the rim into the cookie crumbs to coat. Set the glass aside in the refrigerator to chill while you mix the cocktail.
- 2
Combine ingredients
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 6 medium cubes). Pour in the blue curaçao, vodka, white crème de cacao, heavy cream, milk, and simple syrup. Make sure quantities match the ingredient list: 1.5 oz blue curaçao, 1 oz vodka, 0.5 oz white crème de cacao, 1 oz heavy cream, 1 oz milk, 0.25 oz simple syrup.
- 3
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is cold and the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy from the cream.
- 4
Strain and serve
Remove the chilled glass from the refrigerator (if prepped). Fill the glass with fresh ice if desired (1–2 large cubes or a few smaller ones). Double-strain the cocktail into the glass using a fine-mesh strainer to catch any small ice shards and ensure a silky texture.
- 5
Garnish
Float one mini chocolate sandwich cookie on the surface and skewer the second cookie on a cocktail pick or place it on the rim. Serve immediately.
- 6
Notes: Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the simple syrup. For a lighter texture, substitute half-and-half for the cream and milk or use all milk for a less rich cocktail. To make a vegan version, use coconut cream and a vegan cookie for garnish.
