Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the onion, carrot, and celery. Mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables soften.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ground Beef

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks (about 5-7 minutes).

  5. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  6. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. 7

    Cook the Spaghetti

While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  8. 8

    Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese to taste.
