1

Prepare espresso

Pull a fresh shot of espresso (about 1 oz). Allow the espresso to rest 20–30 seconds so it cools slightly but retains crema. If you must use very hot espresso, let it cool further to avoid diluting and melting the cream too fast.

2

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink stays cold.

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, Stoli Vanilla Vodka (2 oz), Baileys Irish Cream (1 oz), Kahlúa (1 oz), the slightly cooled espresso (1 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz) if you prefer a touch more sweetness.

4

Dry shake (optional)

If you want extra silky crema, first shake the ingredients vigorously without ice for 8–10 seconds (dry shake). This helps emulsify the Baileys and espresso.

5

Shake with ice

Add ice (if you didn't already) and shake the cocktail vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and you see a thick, creamy foam forming.

6

Strain and serve

Discard the ice or water from your chilled glass. Double strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove ice shards and produce a smooth surface with crema.

7

Garnish

Garnish with 3 coffee beans placed on top of the crema. The three beans are traditional and represent health, wealth and happiness.

8

Serve

Serve immediately while the cocktail is cold and the crema is fresh.
