Ensure the Bud Light is well chilled. For best flavor, refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours at about 38°F (3–4°C). If you need it quickly, submerge the bottle or can in an ice-water and salt mixture for 10–15 minutes.

Chill beer

If using a glass, place it in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill with ice and cold water for a few minutes, then dump the ice and water before pouring. A chilled glass helps keep the beer colder longer.

Chill glass (optional)

Open the bottle with a bottle opener or lift the can tab. Hold the glass at a 45° angle and pour the Bud Light gently down the side until the glass is about two-thirds full.

When the glass is two-thirds full, slowly straighten it to vertical and finish pouring down the center to produce a 1/2 to 1-inch (about 1–2 cm) foam head. Adjust pouring speed to control foam.

If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim and drop it into the beer or serve the lime on the side. Note: Bud Light is commonly served unadorned; garnish is optional.

Serve immediately. Keep remaining unopened bottles or cans refrigerated. Discard opened beer after a few hours to preserve flavor and carbonation.
