Prepare the glass
If serving with a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Dip the rim lightly into a shallow dish of coarse or flaky sea salt to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.
Measure and combine
Add 2 oz El Jimador Reposado, 0.5 oz Grand Marnier, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 4-6 large cubes or roughly 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted. This chills, dilutes, and integrates the ingredients.
Garnish
Finish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a small lime peel over the top for extra aromatic oils.
Tasting notes & adjustments
Taste and adjust balance if making multiple servings: add 0.25 oz more agave for additional sweetness, or 0.25 oz more lime if you prefer brighter acidity. For a stronger orange note, float an additional 0.25 oz Grand Marnier on top.
