Cocktail

Method

Build & Stir

1

Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer a colder serve, place an old-fashioned (rocks) glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Add 1 oz Tanqueray Gin, 1 oz Campari, and 1 oz Carpano Antica sweet vermouth into a mixing glass or a separate container suitable for stirring.

3

Fill the mixing glass with large, cold ice cubes until nearly full. Stir gently but steadily for about 20–30 seconds (about 20–30 full revolutions) until the mixture is well chilled, slightly diluted, and slightly viscous. This typically brings the drink to proper temperature and dilution.

4

Discard ice/water from the chilled old-fashioned glass if you used it to chill. Strain the stirred mixture into the glass over a single large ice cube or fresh ice.

Garnish & Serve

5

Take one orange peel and, holding it skin side down over the drink, give it a firm twist or express the oils by briskly pinching the peel so the citrus oils spray over the surface of the cocktail.

6

Rub the rim of the glass lightly with the peel if desired, then drop the expressed peel into the drink as a garnish.

7

Serve immediately. Provide a short stirrer or straw if the guest wishes to re-stir as the ice melts.
