Cold Brew & Coffee Components
Chill components
Ensure the cold brew, espresso vodka (or plain vodka) and Mr. Black are well chilled before preparing. Place them in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes prior or use pre-chilled bottles.
Measure 3 oz chilled Stauf's cold brew, 0.75 oz Mr. Black coffee liqueur, and 1 oz espresso vodka into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.
If you prefer a slightly sweeter martini, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. The cold brew and coffee liqueur already add sweetness and depth, so taste preference governs this optional step.
Spirit
Add 1.5 oz Tito's Handmade Vodka to the mixing glass or shaker with the coffee components.
Fill the shaker with ice (about 6 standard ice cubes) to rapidly chill and slightly dilute the cocktail for proper balance.
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and you see good froth forming from the coffee.
Garnish & Glass Prep
If you want a cocoa rim or dusting: lightly wet the rim of a chilled coupe or martini glass with a little cold brew or simple syrup, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of cocoa powder or grated chocolate. Alternatively, simply chill the glass and skip the rim.
Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove any small ice shards and produce a smooth silky texture.
Garnish with 3 coffee beans placed on the surface or a light dusting of cocoa/grated chocolate. Serve immediately.
