Base (puppuccino)

Method

Prepare base

1

Mix yogurt

Place 1 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt in a medium bowl or a blender cup. Add 2 tablespoons cold water or low-sodium chicken/vegetable broth to loosen the texture slightly. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add up to 2 tablespoons unsweetened plain kefir or unsweetened plain coconut milk. Stir or blend briefly until smooth and creamy.

2

Taste or smell (briefly) to ensure there is no off odor. Do not add salt, sugar, or anything containing xylitol. Keep portions small for dogs who are not used to dairy.

Add flavor (choose one)

3

Peanut butter puppuccino

Spoon 1 teaspoon unsalted natural peanut butter (ensure it contains no xylitol) into the bowl with the yogurt mixture. Whisk or blend until evenly combined.

4

Banana puppuccino

Add 2 teaspoons mashed ripe banana to the yogurt base and stir until incorporated.

5

Pumpkin puppuccino

Stir in 1 teaspoon plain canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) until evenly mixed.

6

Fruity/veggie mild option

Fold in 1 teaspoon unsweetened applesauce or 1 teaspoon finely shredded carrot for a touch of natural sweetness or texture.

Serve & garnish

7

Spoon the prepared puppuccino into a small dog-safe cup or shallow bowl. If serving outdoors or on hot days, you can place the puppuccino in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to make it slightly chilled but not solid.

8

Top with 2 small dog biscuit pieces or broken training treats and, if using, a tiny 1 teaspoon sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried liver for extra temptation.

9

Allow your dog to enjoy under supervision. Discard any uneaten portion after 2 hours at room temperature or after 24 hours refrigerated.
