Place the 2023 Pigoudet Rosé in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. If short on time, fill an ice bucket with equal parts ice and cold water and submerge the bottle for 20–30 minutes to reach an ideal serving temperature of 8–12°C (46–54°F).

Chill the bottle

Select clean, room-temperature or slightly chilled white/rosé wine glasses or stemless glasses. Rinse with cold water if you prefer the glass slightly chilled, then dry. Arrange glasses on a clean tray or table.

Prepare glassware

Arrange lemon slices on a small plate for optional garnish. Place light hors d'oeuvres (chèvre crostini, prosciutto, olives, or similar) on a serving board near the wine.

Prepare garnishes and pairings

Remove foil capsule from the top of the bottle. Center the corkscrew over the cork and insert the screw fully, then pull the cork out gently to avoid popping. Wipe the bottle lip with a clean cloth if needed.

Open the bottle

Hold the bottle at the base and pour slowly into each glass, filling to about one-third full (approximately 120–150 ml per pour) to allow aromas to concentrate. If serving four, rotate pours so each glass receives wine at the same time.

Pouring

If desired, rest a lemon slice on the rim of each glass or serve lemon slices on the side. Note: a lemon slice is optional — the Rosé's fruit and floral notes are balanced and often best enjoyed without citrus.

Garnish (optional)

Encourage guests to observe the wine’s pale pink color, swirl gently to release aromas of red berries (strawberry, raspberry), light herbs and floral notes. Sip, hold briefly to sense acidity and fruit, then note the crisp, refreshing finish typical of Provence-style rosés made from Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet blends.

Tasting notes

If you have leftover wine, reseal with the original cork (inserted with the tapered end still facing in) or a wine stopper. Store the bottle upright in the refrigerator for up to 3–5 days. Pour remaining wine into a smaller bottle to reduce oxidation if you expect to keep it for several days.
