Deli Sandwich (choose one)

Potato Chips & Pickle

Fresh Fruit

Method

Deli Sandwich (choose one)

1

Prepare bread and condiments

Place two slices of bread or a split roll on a clean work surface. Spread mayonnaise evenly on one slice and Dijon mustard on the other.

2

Assemble sandwich (turkey example)

Layer 3 oz sliced turkey on the bottom slice evenly. Top with one slice of cheese, leaf lettuce, and 2 tomato slices. Sprinkle salt and black pepper lightly over the tomato.

3

Alternative proteins

If using ham or roast beef instead of turkey, use approximately 3 oz of the chosen meat and assemble the same way with cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

4

Finish and wrap

Close the sandwich, press gently to compress slightly. If transporting, wrap the sandwich tightly in wax/parchment paper or place it into a sandwich bag or small airtight container to keep fresh. If you will be storing for more than 2 hours, include an ice pack in the lunchbox.

Potato Chips & Pickle

5

Place one individual bag of potato chips in the lunchbox or alongside the wrapped sandwich. Pack one dill pickle spear in a small airtight container or a sealed plastic bag to prevent juices from leaking onto the sandwich or chips.

Fresh Fruit

6

If using an apple: wash and dry thoroughly. If desired, leave whole or slice and place in a small airtight container to prevent browning (toss slices with a squeeze of lemon if slicing). If using a banana: select a ripe banana and pack whole. If using grapes: wash and place a small bunch in a container.

7

Place one cookie in a small paper bag or wrap loosely in parchment to keep it from getting crushed. Put the cookie in a separate compartment or at the top of the lunchbox so it won't get crumbled by heavier items.

Packaging & Final Assembly

8

Arrange the wrapped sandwich, bag of chips, sealed pickle, fruit container, and cookie in your lunch container or box. Add a napkin and, if using, an ice pack to keep perishable items cool. Close the lunchbox and store in a refrigerator or insulated bag until departure.

9

Label the lunch with the recipient's name and any allergy notes if needed. For best quality, consume within 4–6 hours if unrefrigerated; refrigerate for longer storage.
