Bloody Mary (Classic)

Gin & Tonic

Method

Bloody Mary (Classic)

1

Prepare glass

Rim a highball or pint glass with a lemon wedge, then dip the rim into celery salt to coat lightly. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

2

Mix drink

In a mixing glass or shaker (no need to shake vigorously), combine vodka (2 oz), tomato juice (4 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), Worcestershire sauce (2 tsp), hot sauce (2 dashes), prepared horseradish (0.5 tsp), celery salt (1 tsp), and freshly ground black pepper (0.25 tsp).

3

Combine and adjust

Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon for about 10–15 seconds until well combined and slightly chilled. Taste and adjust seasoning: add more hot sauce, Worcestershire, horseradish, or lemon to preference.

4

Serve

Pour the mixed Bloody Mary into the prepared ice-filled glass. Garnish with a celery stalk and lemon wedge; add a pickle spear or olives if desired. Serve immediately.

Moscow Mule

5

Chill mule mug or glass

If using a copper mug, place it in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice to chill before making the drink.

6

Build drink

Fill the chilled mug with ice (about 1 cup). Add vodka (2 oz) and fresh lime juice (0.5 oz).

7

Top and garnish

Top with chilled ginger beer (4 oz) and stir gently to combine. Garnish with a lime wheel and a mint sprig if using. Serve cold.

Gin & Tonic

8

Prepare glass

Fill a highball glass with ice (about 1 cup) to the top to keep the drink cold and fizzy.

9

Build and serve

Pour gin (2 oz) over the ice, top with chilled tonic water (4 oz). Stir gently once with a bar spoon to combine without losing too much carbonation. Squeeze a lime wedge over the drink, drop it in as garnish, and serve immediately.

Whiskey Sour (quick)

10

Shake

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add bourbon (2 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.75 oz), and simple syrup (0.75 oz). Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

11

Strain and serve

Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice (about 1 cup). Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry. If you prefer a frothier top, add 0.75 oz egg white to the shaker and dry-shake (no ice) first for 10 seconds, then add ice and shake again.
