Method

Prepare Salad Base

  1. 1

    Wash and Cut Lettuce

Wash the head of iceberg lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any wilted outer leaves. Cut the lettuce into quarters and place one quarter on each plate.

  2. 2

    Prepare Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into wedges. Arrange the tomato wedges around the iceberg wedge on the plate.

Cook Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the slices of bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  2. 4

    Boil Eggs

In a small pot, place the eggs and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and then cover the pot, turning off the heat. Let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes. Remove them, cool under cold water, peel, and slice.

  3. 5

    Prepare Parmesan

Grate the parmesan cheese using a box grater or food processor. Set aside.

Make Dressing

  1. 6

    Combine Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

On each plate, top the iceberg lettuce wedge with crumbled bacon, sliced eggs, grated parmesan cheese, and croutons.

  2. 8

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and serve immediately.
