Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Reserve Pasta Water

Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Then drain the linguine and set aside.

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Sauté Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 4

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet, along with the salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fully cooked through.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 5

    Add Tomatoes

Once the shrimp are cooked, add the halved grape tomatoes to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes until they begin to soften.

  2. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Add the drained linguine to the skillet, tossing everything together. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  3. 7

    Finish with Lemon and Cheese

Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing well until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.

  4. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving for freshness and color.
