Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the USDA prime New York strip steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the hot grill or skillet. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Shrimp

  1. 5

    Prepare the Shrimp

Peel and devein the jumbo shrimp, leaving the tails on for presentation.

  2. 6

    Bread the Shrimp

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with bread crumbs mixed with salt and cayenne pepper. Dip each shrimp first in flour, then in egg, and finally in the bread crumbs.

  3. 7

    Fry the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded shrimp and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Roasted Potatoes

  1. 8

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and halve the baby potatoes.

  2. 9

    Season the Potatoes

In a mixing bowl, toss the halved potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 10

    Roast the Potatoes

Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden and tender. Stir halfway through cooking.

  4. 11

    Finish the Potatoes

Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Asparagus

  1. 12

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the fresh asparagus and trim the tough ends.

  2. 13

    Season the Asparagus

In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and lemon juice.

  3. 14

    Cook the Asparagus

You can either grill the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes until tender or roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 10-12 minutes.
