Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip them over and place two slices of cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties reach desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickle slices, and a tablespoon of remoulade. Top with the other half of the bun.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to make French fries.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Once hot, carefully add the potato strips in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  3. 7

    Season the Fries

Remove the fried potatoes from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
