Method

Chicken Strips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the eggs, and finally into the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken Strips

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the large potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

  5. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
