Directions

1

Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

2

Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 8 black tea bags. Let the tea bags steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

3

Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

4

Add Sugar

While the tea is still warm, add 1 cup of sugar to the pot. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

5

Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 1 cup of lemon juice to the sweetened tea mixture.

6

Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 1 hour.

7

Serve Tea

Once chilled, fill a pitcher with 4 cups of ice cubes. Pour the cooled tea over the ice.

8

Garnish

Add lemon slices and mint leaves to the pitcher for garnish and extra flavor.

9

Enjoy

Stir the tea gently and serve in glasses over additional ice if desired.
