Method

Pan Seared Atlantic Cod

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cod

Pat the Atlantic cod fillets dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the cod fillets.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Sear the Cod

Place the cod fillets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Finish with Lemon and Parsley

Remove the cod from the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Broiled Atlantic Cod

  1. 6

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat the broiler to high and line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Cod

Place the Atlantic cod fillets on the baking sheet.

  3. 8

    Add Butter and Seasoning

Spread the butter over the fish, then sprinkle salt and paprika evenly on top.

  4. 9

    Add Lemon and Broil

Top each fillet with a lemon slice. Broil for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle fresh dill on top before serving.

Blackened Atlantic Cod

  1. 11

    Prepare the Cod

Pat the Atlantic cod fillets dry with paper towels.

  2. 12

    Season the Fish

Rub blackening seasoning generously over both sides of the cod fillets.

  3. 13

    Heat the Skillet

In a cast-iron skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat until hot and sizzling.

  4. 14

    Cook the Cod

Add the cod fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until nicely charred and cooked through.

  5. 15

    Serve with Lime

Serve immediately with lime wedges and garnish with fresh cilantro.
